We do not offer packages. The beauty of Chuntuac is the ability to customize your unique dream destination wedding, and we promote this. You will choose everything from the florals to the furniture and food. This may sound overwhelming for a destination couple, but don’t be alarmed! Any of our recommended planners will handle everything on your behalf and make the process exciting and fun. This is standard for events at luxury Haciendas in Yucatán

Yes, it is necessary to hire a wedding planner. You can see our recommended list here. Any planner on our list knows the Hacienda very well and the best vendors in Mérida, assuring the best experience for you. They know what works well, how to handle each situation, and what steps to take during the planning process. The wedding planner will coordinate and direct each of your vendors, so you only have to worry about taking everything in and enjoying every minute of your special day.

We are happy to share with you a list of our favorite vendors so that you can research them and check out their social media to see who best fits your style. However, your planner will also guide you and handle all the organization, payments, planning, etc.

Overflow guests generally will stay in Centro Merida. We can suggest hotels based on style and budget. Centro is a colorful, vibrant, walkable area where your guests can explore cafes, museums, shops, and parks. There are fabulous airbnbs, traditional hotels (Mansión Merida, Casa Lecanda)  modern boutique hotels (Wayam Mundo, Diez Diez) and chain style hotels (Courtyard Marriott and Fiesta Americana) to name a few! 

Very simple! Your planner will organize modern, chauffeured sprinter vans. These vans will pick up your guests from a central location near their hotels in Centro and comfortably bring them to Chuntuac. Toward the end of your event, the vans will generally leave at various times so that your guests can choose what time to leave.

Yes and yes! Absolutely – we welcome your special furry family members to Chuntuac. They will love having all the gardens to sniff and explore!

Merida is rated one of the safest cities in all of the Americas and, most recently, the 4th best big city in the world by Conde Nast Traveler. We are located within a nature reserve. The two small Maya towns we are located in between (San José Tzal and Molas) are inhabited by families who have lived in them for generations. They are very calm, peaceful and friendly people. At the Hacienda, we have security personnel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your peace of mind. 

Yucatan has so much to offer! In Mérida you have top-rated culinary experiences, markets to explore, tourist buses, museums, and shops for handicrafts. Around the Hacienda and outside of the city are historical ruins (Uxmal, Chichen Itza, Mayapan), Cenotes to explore, and working Haciendas that offer tours and an insight into the area’s rich history. We can help with full concierge services and the best tour guides.

We enjoy a tropical climate. For events, we consider the high season October through May as you have the promise of drier weather. June through September you have a higher chance of precipitation. That being said, we do have events all year round. Your planner will always have a plan B in case of inclement weather. At Hacienda Chuntuac, being surrounded by vegetation, on the outskirts of the city and in a clear space, the temperature is lower than in the city and the climate is cooler all year round. Events in open spaces usually begin at dusk, when the sun sets, and we enjoy a completely starry sky almost all year round.
